7 Best Android Apps!

Shush.
Ever had to turn your phone to silent mode during a movie, and you forgot to turn it back on? and after that someone calls you and you miss the call?

Well this app will help set a timer for how long you want your phone to be silent!

For example your movie is 2 hours, so you just select "Turn ringer back on in 2 hours"!

Twidroid.
For all the tweetfreaks out there! This App is like a twitter client that sends the tweets of the people you're following DIRECTLY to you! No need to refresh like a mad dog already!
Take note that it can get a little annoying if you're following too many people.. because it will keep coming and coming in!

TaskPanel.

This app tells you which application is running in the background and how much memory you have left! It "kills" applications that you're not using and makes you're phone faster! Awesome app for multitaskers.

Video Search.

Seen the video in my last blog post? where I downloaded a video from youtube? Well, here's the app!


Once you download the app already it will autosave to your SD card as MP4 files which you can move to your ipod or any other MP4 player! cool or what!


FxCamera.

One of the cooler camera apps! Shall let the pictures do the talking since i think it's difficult to explain using words.

It doesn't have all the cool functions like liquify but at least it has the basic photo editing tools like contrast, saturation, hue and soft focus!

I'm going to do a FULL REVIEW! By full i mean every single aspect so bear with me!

Usually when I buy a phone I will consider the following factors......

• Design
• Functionality
• User Friendliness
• Attention Span

Design.

I pretty much enjoy "sliding phones" cause you know, when you slide it, it's like BOOMZ and you feel so cool! Right!

Colour wise, they only currently have Metallic Blue and some people (like me) are really fussy when it comes to colours so i guess that can improve?
(hint: please have it in red! I will so buy it!)

Texture. Glossy in front and matt texture at the back.
Gotta love matt surfaces!!! Because
1. It's less slippery (for someone like me who has sweaty palms)
2. it doesnt scratch when I drop it on the floor! :/ (and i drop my phones quite often :/)

Rounded Edges too, no sharp points.

I love it when I slide the phone up, and brush my fingers on the 5 column keyboard. it feels smooth! like touching scales! (okay personal fetish)

okay now, nothing else about the design, moving on!

Functionality.
This is the most important factor that can convince me to buy a phone. and yes, the LG Eve is PACKED with Functionality.

It's basically, a SOCIAL NETWORKING phone!

And everyone knows, social networking = Twitter, MSN, Facebook, Youtube blah blah etc.
With this, there will be no need to refresh and the tweets/mail will just get sent into your phone, like SMS!!!! Awesome or what!

Another cool thing about this phone, is the photo tagging function. So it goes like this.

1. You take photo.
2. You tag these photos with your friends names.
3. Upload to Facebook! and your friend's tags will appear there! Cool or what!

The camera is only so-so (5mp though) but there are apps out there that can help improve the quality of your photos!

*Yes and don't EVER compare a picture taken with a handphone and a picture taken with a real camera. Because they are taken using a different kind of lens!

User Friendliness.
The user interface is quite simple... the menu is just a swipe of a finger away!
They do have this function for you to choose between the LG interface or the Android interface.

Personally i prefer the Android interface because it's just, drag and drop and drag and drop and it just simplifies everything!

A flaw about the phone is that the 2 touch buttons on top are too sensitive! Sometimes I accidentally touch it and it goes back to the home screen! But after 2 weeks of using it i sort of got used to it and such cases have lessened!

Also, if you're using the touch keypad, sometimes they "force" you to type without T9 dictionary and it kind of gets on my nerves too... maybe it's my personal preference?

But overall the phone is quite easy to understand... Heck, when I received the phone it didn't even come with an instruction booklet!

Attention Span.
Don't you have those times when you feel like your phone is very sian already and you feel like changing it?

With LG Eve, I think the "Attention" that the phone will be receiving will be much more! BECAUSE..............

The LG Eve runs on Android, and the best thing about Android IS.......

The Android Market!

Thousands of apps for you to download! and best of all, it's totally FREE!

When you get bored with your phone (like every once in a while) you can download new applications to entertain yourself! That means your phone will be constantly updated with new games! and that means..... less boredom!


However all these services are data intensive and you'd better sign up for a data plan if not your phone bill is gonna go BOOMZ! (or alternatively you can use Wi-Fi)
